It is a CSA cement that can be used as up to a 60% replacement of your cement. At a dosage rate of 60%, you can demold in as little as an hour. There are noticeable acceleration effects of dosages as low as 5%. Sounds like a miracle, right? As with everything else in the world of concrete, when you press in one area, you get push back in another. A few factors related to the dosage rate of quix-

Color- the color of quix is a buff toned grey. No matter the dosage, your color will be affected, the extent of which is based on the loading rate. If you are trying to match any light colors, this can be a serious factor. The other issue with color is based on manageability of timing.

You will find that a certain amount of quix as an accelerator in the winter time is not a bad thing. The drawback is what happens to that same dosage rate in the summer time. What was a benefit in the winter months can throw you completely out of whack in the summer months. So then you have to play with delays or reduce your loading rate. Delays weaken the mix to an extent, lower loading rates change the color.

Quix at higher dosage rates can generate a huge amount of heat that has to be managed.
