Blueconcrete's IRON OXIDE BLACK is the strongest Black Oxide available and is a great pigment for you to use in Light/Medium shades of Brown/Beige/Grey Color Formula's. CARBON BLACK is used when very deep Grey and Jet Black Concrete is required. Carbon Black is over 4 X stronger pound for pound than Iron Oxide Black. And this pigment will not fade and cannot fade. At high loadings from 2-4 %, the properties of the concrete will be modified and our admixtures should be used to maximize the dispersion of the cement particles.

For the jettest black, we recommend a combination of Black Iron Oxide AND Carbon Black in the mix design.
